normalmente non recensisco album a qui ho partecipato(mi provoca un certo imbarazzo,non saprei dire perchè.. ma è così) in questo caso però lo faccio per uno scopo preciso:ringraziare personalmente daniela (ormai un vero e propio manager..hehe)per l'impegno, la serietà, e la pazienza che ci mette nel riunire artisti diversi ma spinti da un'obiettivo comune di provare a costruire qualcosa al di fuori dei soliti canali di produzione e distribuzione della musica,ormai obsoleti,arcaici e tesi solo al profitto a discapito della qualità(non tutti chiaramente..ci sono etichette che producono ottimi artisti)però ormai da decenni la musica e i produttori musicali sono fermi,statici,quasi niente di nuovo viene proposto al grande pubblico perchè si ha paura che possa non piacere e quindi si ricade sempre sui soliti artisti"sicuri" DIMENTICANDO però, che se qualche visionario coraggioso non avesse promosso e prodotto negli anni 60° o 70° nuova musica non avremmo avuto grandi artisti del jazz,del rock o della musica pop. quindi concludendo: grazie Daniela e grazie a tutti quelli che hanno collaborato a questo magnifico progetto!

Sono pienamente d'accordo con Mauro. Un album così è certamente da definire come il frutto di una intesa e collaborazione tra musicisti spinti da un amore che li lega al jazz e le sue derivazioni passate e attuali. I brani uno dopo l'altro sono delle vere e proprie chicche e sicuramente Daniela ne sarà fiera anche di questa sua nuova riuscita e realizzazione dando motivo di tirare fuori tra grande musica ed amicizia certamente una delle parti più importanti Jamendiane ( diciamo più esattamente Coriandoliane) una importante coesione di coerenza e di amore per la vera musica fatta da veri e seri musicisti. Ovviamente viva anche Creative Workshop. I fully agree with Mauro. An album that is certainly to be defined as the result of a valid agreement and collaboration between musicians united by a deep love that binds them: jazz and its derivations past and present. The songs one after the other are true gems and it will certainly Daniela also very proud of his new success and achievement, giving reason to pull out of friendship between great music and certainly one of the most important parts Jamendiane (say more exactly Coriandoliane) coherence and cohesion of a great love for real music made by real and serious musicians. Of course even alive Creative Workshop.

Gran àlbum, una reuniòn de talentos para disfrutar muchìsimo. En ``Get your life by Liquid Frame`` me encanto la voz, tan buena como sensual. ``Mediterranean Tango`` sin dudas es de mis favoritas, una delicia con los acompañamientos tangueros y esa guitarra clàsica jazzeando, un lujo, y esa ùltima parte màs ``mediterranea`` para mis oidos. ``BackStep`` es otra de mis favoritas, con la baterìa bien presente, esas melodìas, la diversidad de sonidos, muy creativa y refrescante. ``Kiss me on 7`` tiene un trabajo increìble de baterìa, bajo, muy buen saxo en el ambiente logrado, que es enèrgetico, envolvente. ``A Cat in Love`` es tan buena como particular, cambiante, con un aire 80`s por momentos, y la guitarra con distorsiòn me encantò. ``Azulejos`` de JAC creo haberla escuchado, tiene un clima tan especial, dulce y melancòlico, una especie de balada jazzera diria, con las guitarras sutiles pero muy emotivas. ``Along the wet street`` es super càlida, transmite paz, muy buena. ``Let me to dream`` me fascinò! por el estilo, clima, sutil, elegante, sensual...igual que ``Two 4 you``, gran nivel, una joya. Y ``Winter blast`` tiene una intrigante intro, que luego sorprende un sabroso trabajo bailable. En fin, mis preferencias, todo es excelente, felicitaciones a cada uno.

Non pensiate che solo Eventi Jazz www.eventijazz.jimdo.com realizzi i progetti delle Compilation. Con molto piacere scopriamo su Jamendo l’album “Jazz Friends 2011” che per la natura del progetto assomiglia molto a quanto facciamo noi. I “Jazz Friends” in questione non sono quelli di “Jazz Project” e per non confondere le idee, riporteremo integralmente quello che troviamo scritto su Jamendo nel numero 7 luglio 2011 del nostro webzine augurando ai Jazz Friends di continuare la loro opera nel migliore dei modi. Intanto segnaliamo l’ottimo album che merita veramente di essere ascoltato...E da quanto vediamo qui riguardo l'organizzazione del progetto, ci viene spontaneo augurare "Lunga VITA a VIVARELLI !!" Un gran trabajo de recopilación, sin duda. Temas muy cuidados y que suenan de maravilla, mezclando diferentes conceptos de hacer música y con la energía que transmite el jazz. Aunque me los llevo todos a mis favoritos, para mi gusto destacaría "Winter Blass" por su pegadizo ritmo y ese toque chillout y "Letme to dream" que por unos minutos creí estar disfrutando del mejor jazz en un bar de Chicago en los años 20.

Come molti hanno già scritto c'è imbarazzo nel recensire un lavoro che è anche mio, così, come molti altri artisti presenti nel disco, utilizzo questa "bacheca" per ringraziare tutti, in primis il nostro coriandolo (se non ci fosse bisognerebbe inventarla). Ritengo un grande onore essere presente su un lavoro che reputo di alto livello qualitativo, prodotto e arrangiato da musicisti con la M maiuscola. Ringrazio anche per la scelta di lasciare al progetto Liquid Frame l'onore e l'onere di aprire la compilation. I brani (parlo di tutti tranne che del mio, di quello è giusto che parlino altri) hanno una forte personalità, sono pregievoli e di gusto (cosa non scontata). Se devo dare una temporanea preferenza, devo ammettere che ascolto e riascolto in continuazione Pasqualino Ubaldini, artista che unisce una preziosa perizia sugli strumenti ad un cuore grande come una casa. Non me ne vogliano gli altri: pian piano approfondirò la conoscenza delle produzioni di ciascuno di loro perchè, credetemi, ne vale davvero la pena! Grazie ancora di avermi fatto partecipe di tutto questo. Grazie e buon anno Paolo - liquid frame

Can you mix the songs again? I mean the volume and frequencies. Paolo is too quiet in comparison. One would have to readjust from song to song, his music box. Imagine a restaurant would hear the music. Sometimes it is too loud sometimes too quiet. Then you hear no bass, then no heights. As the guests walk away. If okay then really good. Idea is good. Compilation as well. German: Könnt ihr die Songs neu abmischen? Ich meine die Lautstärke und die Frequenzen. Paolo ist zu leise im Verhältnis. Man müßte von Song zu Song seine Musikboxen neu einstellen. Stellt euch vor ein Restaurant würde die Musik hören. Mal ist es zu laut mal zu leise. Dann hört man keine Bässe, dann keine Höhen. Da gehen die Gäste weg. Wenn schon gut dann richtig gut. Idee ist gut. Zusammenstellung auch.

a quanto pare sono il primo. molti di voi sanno che non sono bravo con le parole, ma posso dire che questo progetto portato avanti dalla nostra daniela (coriandolo), è arrivato al suo completamento proprio nel giorno più propiziatorio. ho ascoltato tutti i brani e devo dire...., uno meglio dell'altro. ringrazio tutti i musicisti ma, consentitemi, un abbraccio particolare alla nostra daniela che con la sua passione è riuscita metterci tutti assieme per realizzare questo album.

Anche se ascolto spesso musica jazz, non sono un'esperto in materia; comunque proviamo a scrivere una recensione: track#1 jazz elettronico: spero che l'orecchio non m'inganni, ma sento parecchi synth! comunque: canzone ricca di effetti, voce sensuale, ritmo ostinato, questi i tratti salienti track#2 jazz newyorkese: jazz più "classico": batteria, piano, sax. Melanconico ma rilassante! Track #3: "world jazz" piano ostinato, ritmato, misterioso, vago, ti fa viaggiare con la mente... track #4: "jazz sentimentale" anche qui vaghezza e melanconia si fondono. Track#5 "jazz alternativo" ritmo particolare, soprattutto nella base e nel basso, che sostituisce addirittura la melodia: cioè sembra essere il basso il protagonista di questo brano, e gli altri strumenti fungono da accompagno...originale! track#6 "jazz chillout": gli echi, i riverberi, i flanger, rimandano ad una dimensione ancestrale all'inizio, poi ritmo!! E qui ci vedo un po' di "chillout". track#7: "jazz relaxing" suoni dolci, ritmo lento, melodie rilassanti...una cura contro lo stress quotidiano! track#8: "jazz sognante" colto, raffinato, profondo, rilassante: ritmo suadente (da notare il basso!), piano sognante; i pezzi con il sax sono poesia! track#9: "jazz spagnolo": non lo so ci vedo un po' la tradizione ispanica in queste melodie, sarà per la chitarra: comunque qui siamo di fronte al sentimento fatto in musica, tutto qui! Track#10: "vocal jazz" quando si dice che la voce è il migliore degli strumenti: questa canzone ne è la prova: anche qui ci vedo note di chillout, forse per l'effetto chour che da il brano e per il ritmo lento e rilassante. Track#11: "jazzy jazz" più jazz di così si muore! Infatti questa canzone riassume un po' in sè tutta la musica jazz, dalle origini degli anni venti nei quartieri di New Orleans, al "BLue Note". Comunque il brano raccoglie melodie dolci anche se complesse, un ritmo lento e avvincente, un sentimento in ogni singola nota! Bello! Track# 12 "dopo i primi 50 secondi dico : rock jazz, ma dopo un primo momento le mie certezze svaniscono", in questo brano si mischiano energia e sogno; canzoni ricca di "switch", ma anche unita e organica; ok! Insomma proprio un bell'album, mi è piaciuto proprio tanto!! Spero di risentire il prossimo anno un'altra dozzina di album!! P.S spero di non aver scritto troppe castronerie!!

'Jazz Friends 2011', is a 12 track, Various-Jamendo-Artists, Jazz Compilation album. Keep in mind that there are Multiple Varieties of Jazz not to mention Sub-categories and you will appreciate the Excellent Assortment assembled in this Collection for your Pleasure and Edification. "Track #1. 'Get Your Life', Ironically is, probably, one of the least Jazz-centric of the album's songs. A Soulful Female Vocal by a very R & B band--Electric Organ, Drum Kit with lots of wire work and Electric Bass form the Instrumental Foundation with some Synth work complete the Sound. Track #2.'Two 4 You', by contrast is PURE Jazz but of the Muted, Smooth Type. Saxophone, String Bass, Piano and Drum Kit give this Instrumental Piece a Soft, Dinner Club Feel. Think White Dinner Coats, Tuxedos and Patent Leather Shoes and you have the Feeling of this song. Track #5. 'Kiss Me On 7', is another Instrumental but Entirely Different in Character; coming across as a EZL-Jazz Hybrid yet featuring almost exactly the same Instrumentation as Track #2. Track #7. 'BackStep', is clearly Jazz Oriented yet rocks Electric Bass in very Non-Jazz Fashion as the track starts and later features Rival-Solos between Electric Rock Accented Guitar vs Jazz Flavored Acoustic Guitar. The song is simply UNIQUE and WONDERFUL> Track #9. 'Azulejos', Introduces a Latin Spice--Acoustic Guitar in particular. Think Spanish Guitar but with a Mexican Twist infused with Jazz--then the Electric Guitars Enter the Fray and that is the Exotic Sensation you must prepare to experience. Track #12. 'A Cat In Love', Features an Entirely Different Latin Voice this time-the Spanish of Spain nonetheless it is as different as Night is From Day from Track #9 and that is the Ultimate Essene of this Album; A Shared Themed but with Original and Distinct Voices. This is an Album for Lovers of Music-Period.

I think I have left a word or two around that I like this genre ,But know so very little about it. Other than it was started in New Orleans circa 1600's when some coronet player in a minstrel band,Decided to play the notes with a certain flare. It caught on and spread like wildfire (Over time of course) Then Gospel and Blues and latter yet Rock music was born . That is all I know with the exception to a few artists that I have chanced on. Some forms of Jazz does not suit me well . Miles Davis has some tracks that I will listen to . Most of his stuff is for the hard core Jazz fans ,I guess. The other thing I do know is what pleases MY ears . What I LIKE and This album fits the bill perfectly. Every track is wonderful and worth more than a single listen by a long shot . The Artists in this collaboration that I do know are PeerGynt Lobogris . His music is always amazing . Never has he had a track that I have listened to , that I would skip. EVER And it is that excellence, that leads me to believe that he would not work with just anybody . I believe that All the musicians covered here are of a higher quality than your average Joe. I may be wrong, ( Lord knows I have been many times before ) But from what my headphones are telling me I don't think I am . The same goes for the Opening band Liquid Frame . I love everything I have heard by them . The music is magical to a degree that transcends average music. As far as the rest of the artists... They are new to me and I am liking them A LOT . They have introduced me to different variants of jazz that I can easily relate to and I will be listening to this for some time to come. This is the essence of what I thought good jazz should be like . And now that I know some of the Names of these fine musicians , I shall be checking out more of their music . It is a compilation like this that I have always wanted but was to dumb to ask for LOL . Keep the magic flowing ... Each and every one of you have contributed to an astounding piece of priceless art That I feel like wine, will only get better over time Peace and love P.S I apologize for such a long review

Jazz Friends 2011 features a wide range of ingenious compositions, somewhat drifting out in different directions, encompassing almost all the various subgenres of Jazz in an elegant and subtle way. Despite their dissimilarities, the tracks all seem to paint the same picture, albeit from different angles, adding to the overall pleasure of this album. If keeping with this standard, Creative Workshop is sure to become a well-known project, within the realm of Creative Commons licensed music.

J'avoue n'être pas très fan de jazz mais là, c'est différent.Les compositions sont excellentes et diversifiées, et sont interprétées par de très bons musiciens.Un très bon album.
